Girl Receiving Medicinal Oil On The Forehead To Cure Stress Prob
KANNUR KERALA, INDIA - JANUARY 01, 2009 Practised in some kalari (martial gymnasium), shirodhara is a classical ayurvedic treatment. Shiro means head and dhara poured oil. During 20 minutes, warm oil is poured on the middle of the patient's forehead. An assistant is collecting it under the evacuation system placed at the end of the fruit woodden table. He recycles it into the pot. This treatment cures stress problems, nervousness, insomnia, mental illness. It improves concentration. For the ayurvedists, it calms down vata (wind).
